Dee Hernandez is a Cuban artist based in Atlantic Canada, recognized for her fusion of Cuban roots with genres such as R&B, funk, and pop. Her music has captivated audiences and gained support from CBC both regionally and nationally. She has been nominated for the East Coast Music Award and Music New Brunswick Awards.

Praised by artists like Sass Jordan, who described her as a "world-class jazz singer," and recognized by Maritime Edit as "The Voice of Cuban-Canadian Jazz," Dee has made a notable presence in the music scene. Recently, she appeared on the second season of the TV show Maestro Chef Wes, hosted by legendary rapper Maestro Fresh Wes.

Her music is inspired by iconic artists such as Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu, and the Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz. Through captivating lyrics, she tells stories of love, her personal journey as an immigrant at 15, and messages of encouragement and spiritual growth.

Dee's songs have been featured in the soundtrack of the film Do I Know You from Somewhere, showcased at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, where two of her singles enhance the cinematic narrative.
