This session will guide you through the different levels of grants available to artists, whether federal, provincial, interprovincial, private or foundation-based. You'll learn to identify the types of grants you can apply for, depending on the stage of your album project (research, creation, production, marketing, operations, technological development, travel, etc.). We'll give you practical advice on how to write your grant applications effectively, and show you how to present a realistic budget that will maximize your chances of obtaining funding. Finally, we'll look at how to manage grants once they've been awarded, so that you can keep track of your funds and ensure that your project comes to a smooth close.
