Role:

Jeff Cook wears many musical hats (not literally, but that isn't out of the question if the hats are available)

As a composer Jeff has been focused on the Inert project; where he arranges lo-fi cover versions of popular video game music. This project also produces ambient music for sleeping, studying or relaxing. As of 2024 this project stands at >20,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

As a performer Jeff creates midwest emo music with earnestly delivered vocals, twinkly guitars and more experimental production. This music is released under the moniker "Nurture Nurture." The majority of this music was created as part of the RPM challenge, in which artists across the world complete 10 songs in the month of February. Jeff has finished this challenge 10 times as of 2024.

He also plays lead guitar and sings harmony in Saint John rock band, Tooth and the Fang, led by NB music stalwart Geoff Smith.

As a supportive community member Jeff produces journalism on every song released in Saint John, NB. In 2023 his videos covered 1330 songs created by >150 artists in the city. He continues to make a weekly video, highlighting every song that's released with Saint John metadata. These roll-ups are released on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Reddit and Facebook. They're spread widely in hopes of increased attention for all artists in Saint John. He also encourages their collaboration and offers recommendations for tools and opportunities to grow as artists.

Jeff also helps to organize the Care Free Collective, which hosts a weekly open mic at The Art Warehouse in Saint John. This open mic is meant to provide free food for young, marginalized people in Saint John's uptown while allowing them a space to share whatever they create; no matter the medium.

Finally, Jeff serves as a board member for Industrial Parks Collective. He was elected in 2024.
