L’Arrière Scène Backstage (a Music·Musique NB program) is looking for a Funding and Partnerships Manager to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of the music industry in New Brunswick and the Atlantic provinces.
Who Are We?
L'Arrière Scène Backstage is more than just a training program. It is a beacon for creative souls and a guide for those navigating the music industry. This program aims to help artists professionalize by developing their self-management skills while supporting them throughout their musical journey.
Music·Musique NB (MNB), founded in 1998, is a key player in New Brunswick's music industry. The association serves as a pillar of support for artists and industry stakeholders by providing training, promotion, and representation services. MNB is distinguished by its commitment to inclusivity, equity, and the fight against discrimination.
Main Responsibilities
As the Funding and Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Grant Research and Planning: Identifying and writing grant proposals to various government levels for the L'Arrière Scène Backstage program at Music·Musique NB.
- Report Writing: Preparing activity reports for funders, including statistics, impact indicators, and descriptions of activities conducted.
- Scholarships and Financial Aid: Researching entrepreneurial scholarships and other non-governmental financial aid applicable to L’Arrière Scène Backstage projects.
- Strategic Monitoring: Keeping an eye on support programs, funding changes, and new developments in government funding.
- Strategic Development Plan: Contributing to the development and implementation of the organization's strategic development plan.
- Business Relationships: Establishing and maintaining relationships with external partners and collaborators.
- Other Duties: Performing any other tasks related to managing funding and partnerships.
Requirements and Desired Profile
- Education: Degree in administration, cultural business management, accounting, or another relevant field.
- Experience: Knowledge or experience in the music or performing arts industry is a plus.
- Language Skills: Excellent written proficiency in both French and English.
- Funding Knowledge: Familiarity with federal, provincial, and municipal funding programs.
- Personal Qualities: Autonomy, attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and initiative.

- Type of Position: Part-time (20 hours per week)
