Assistant Project Coordinator
Start Date: May 20th, 2024
End Date: August 30th, 2024
Remuneration: $ 25$/hr
Time commitment: Short term. 10 hours a week.
Location: New Brunswick. No specific location. Potential of working remotely. Must be onsite during events and initiatives.
Description of Position
This position consists of assisting MNB staff in the organization and coordination of the educational and training programs of the organization. This includes but is not limited to Semaine MNB Week conference and the association’s annual professional development programming.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Assist MNB Staff with coordinating the following initiatives;
- A 3-day professional development bootcamp for emerging and developing artists (Sept);
- Semaine MNB Week, a 2-day professional development, showcasing and networking event (Oct);
- Information sessions on various topics presented online and/or in various locations in New Brunswick.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A good understanding of the music industry in general;
- Good communication and writing skills in both English and French;
- Ability to multitask and work independently and collaboratively;
- Exceptional organizational skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Strong computer, spreadsheet, and data management skills;
- Proficient with online management tools such as Google Workspace and similar platforms;
- Can work within an established project budget;
- Must be able to work remotely;
- Be a Canadian citizen, have an affiliation with a First Nation on North-east Turtle Island, be a permanent resident of Canada or have an application for permanent resident in process
- Have resided in New Brunswick for at least six months prior to the application
- Must have a valid work visa if from abroad.

Special Projects Coordinator

Time commitment: 15 hrs / week
This position is for the coordination of a project supported 100% by Musicaction through the Soutien aux entrepreneur.e.s et organismes CLOSM program. For this reason, candidates must have excellent skills in written and spoken French.

JOB DESCRIPTION
MNB is looking for a generalist industry professional to coordinate a project whose objective is to support 6 emerging or developing artists from New Brunswick and the Atlantic Provinces, both in their first steps in their evolution process and in the development of more complex strategies to foster their professional advancement. For a period of 6 months, the coordinator will guide participating artists in the elaboration of development and professionalization strategies adapted to their needs.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create a training and coaching program for a cohort of 6 emerging or developing artist-entrepreneurs;
- Establish partnerships with professionals, organizations and/or companies offering training;
- Establish agreements with organizations in the other 3 Atlantic provinces to ensure that the program is communicated and known in East Coast francophone communities, as well as in equity-seeking communities (Indigenous, LGBTQ+, Black, newcomers to the region);
- Search for and confirm trainers
- Establish name and branding
- Launch call for applications
- Organize selection committee for cohort.
- Analysis of artists' needs
QUALIFICATIONS

- Excellent communication and writing skills in French;

- Schedule will occasionally require some evenings and weekends at events ;

- Proficiency in online management tools such as Google Workspace and similar platforms ;
- Can work within an established project budget;
- Must be able to work remotely;
- Must be a resident of New Brunswick.
- Must have Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status.
