Application for The Canadian Songwriter Challenge

Are you a singer/songwriter from New Brunswick looking for a unique opportunity to collaborate with other artists, producers, and industry professionals from across Canada and beyond?

Here’s your chance! 

The Canadian Songwriter Challenge is a component of the CSC (Canadian Song Conference) and was created by Music PEI through a partnership with other provincial Music Industry Associations. This project puts artists from PEI together with artists from across Canada to collaborate and co-write in pairs under the mentorship of a prominent Canadian producer. Each pair of artists will write and record two songs in demo form, first meeting for co-writing sessions online beginning in March and then meeting in person in Charlottetown, PEI, in May.

Music PEI will provide travel, accommodations, the recording studio, and will work with the other MIAs to select the other participating artists. This year CSC will run from May 27th - 29th, 2024.

CRITERIA:

• Must be a current Music Industry Association member (Music NS, Musique/Music NB, Music Ontario, Manitoba Music, etc.)
• Must be based in Canada
• Must have released music on a streaming platform
