Caraquet will be the place to be this October, as organizers of the 12th edition of New Brunswick's Festival (506) have unveiled their concert line-up, for a not-to-be-missed event which has something for every music fan.
Thirty-five bands and solos artists from all over the province will meet in Caraquet, October 25 to 28, to take part in this annual celebration of homegrown talent. "It is our first time hosting this event in the Acadian Peninsula," says Jean Surette, Executive Director of Music·Musique NB (MNB). "We are really looking forward for this chance to showcase New Brunswick artists in a region they might not have toured before."
The mixed programming include fan-favourite rockabilly band The Hypochondriacs, as well as the classical quintet Ventus Machina. Talented local musician Shaun Ferguson will perform at the Boîte-Théatre, which will also host the ECMA-Award nominated and MNB-Award winning group, Cy. The jam-packed line-up will also include alt-disco outfit Spoutnique, indie darlings Motherhood, and critically acclaimed songwriter Danny Boudreau.
