Rebecca has spent the past ten years creating, organizing, and advocating for the art in Atlantic Canada. As an Arts Administrator and Event Coordinator, she has collaborated with not-for-profit organizations, small businesses, tourism associations, for-profit events, film and television crews, post-secondary institutions, and national arts organizations. Prioritizing safety and inclusivity, she aims to foster growth and well-being for artists, speakers, event staff, and volunteers.
Most recently, Rebecca has taken on the role of Co-Coordinator for Ripple Effect, a new initiative aimed at combatting sexual assault and gender-based violence within the local music industry. Rebecca is also a fierce advocate for harm reduction for drug users and plans to expand this passion into further advocacy work within the music and events industry.

Ripple Effect is a new project aimed at reducing sexual assault and gender-based violence in the music industry on PEI and beyond. With professional guidance from Stacey Forrester of Good Night Out, we’ve been providing bystander intervention training, harm-reduction education, skills, and resources to MPEI Staff, Members, and Community Stakeholders.
Ripple Effect believes that all people, from performers to industry professionals to audience members, should have equitable access to the music scene, and that starts with creating safer spaces. "We make this space safer together!"
