Andrea Vincent
Sappyfest

Hailing from Newfoundland and Labrador, Andrea grew up in an active DIY music community where youth in the margins made things happen. In 2011, Andrea co-founded the St. John’s music festival Lawnya Vawnya and later served as the Director of the Dawson City Music Festival for five years before joining Sappyfest (Sackville, NB) in 2022 as Creative Director. Andrea holds a diploma in Textile Studies and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, can tell you all about edible and medicinal wild plants, and lives for being in or on the water. Andrea also sits on the Board of the Canadian Association for the Performing Arts (CAPACOA) and St. Michael’s Printshop in St. John’s, NL.

Sappyfest is a volunteer-driven music and art festival focused on emerging, unheralded, and celebrated artists working in all styles of music, sound, poetry, dance, film, and the visual and performing arts. Established in 2006 and held annually on the August long weekend, Sappyfest is one of the longest continuously running music festivals in the province and, since its inception, has presented the best in Canadian and independent art to small-town New Brunswick, far from recognized larger cultural centers. The 20th edition of Sappyfest will take place in Sackville, NB, from August 1st to 3rd, 2025!
