Amy Ash

Amy Ash (she/they) is a queer interdisciplinary artist invested in collective care through processes of shared meaning-making. Their practice flows from curatorial projects and writing to teaching, socially engaged action, and hands-on making.
Amy has exhibited and curated programmes Internationally, with projects commissioned by the National Gallery London (UK), Platform Centre for Photographic and Digital Arts (Manitoba), and Third Space Gallery (New Brunswick). She is a member of the International Association of Art Critics, is on the editorial committee of Visual Arts News Magazine, and is the current Editor-in-Chief of Billie: Visual Culture Atlantic. They were an Instructor at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design and the Learning Curator for the NB International Sculpture Symposium, and regularly sit on multi-disciplinary juries. Amy is currently Associate Director of ArtsLink NB.
Of white settler ancestry, they live in Menahqesk/Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, which sits on unceded and unsurrendered lands that have been cared for by the Wolastoqiyik, Peskotomuhkati, and Mi’kmaq Peoples since the very beginning.

ArtsLink NB is a member-based multi-disciplinary arts service organization, founded in 2009 to advance the arts in New Brunswick by linking and unifying artists and arts organizations and promoting their value. We represent New Brunswick artists of all disciplines from across the province, and offer professional development opportunities, support and advocacy.

CATAPULT: an entrepreneurial arts accelerator that gives New Brunswick artists the tools to be prolific & build sustainable careers.
The Arts Atlantic Symposium: a three-day, multidisciplinary conference for artists and arts professionals across the Atlantic provinces and public art festival. This symposium aimed to encourage arts sector growth and resilience by providing an opportunity for participants to gather, learn, connect, and collaborate, build working relationships within the industry on both regional and national levels, develop new skills and participate in professional development opportunities.
