Robbie O’Shea is a versatile musician and songwriter from the Miramichi region of New Brunswick, boasting over two decades of experience playing in various bands. As a member of the hard rock group Lil' Bastard, he made a name for himself in the local music scene, releasing albums and entertaining audiences in bars across the region. Robbie also contributed his talents as a bassist on the 2020 AfterSurf album "Channels" and currently performs with the Riley Harris Band, showcasing his adaptability across different musical genres.

In addition to his collaborative projects, Robbie leads a solo psychedelic grunge rock endeavour called Bobby Cotton, which has made waves at local events such as the Miramichi Downtown Music Festival, and New Maritime Brewery. Recently, Robbie has expanded his repertoire to include acoustic performances, playing shows at popular spots like Barnaby Days, the Chatham Food Truck Festival, Mike’s Bar, The Well, and Jack's Pub. His ability to engage audiences with his eclectic style demonstrates his dedication to his craft and passion for music.

With a well-rounded skill set in songwriting, singing, and multiple instrumental talents—including rhythm and lead guitar, as well as bass—Robbie is now venturing into the world of folk music, drawing inspiration from legends like Stompin' Tom and Johnny Cash, but infusing his sound with a grungy twist. His new single, "Newcastle Saturday Nights," is the first release under his own name and tackles a deep, personal subject—the loss of a best friend to drug addiction, reflecting his vulnerability and emotional depth as an artist.

Robbie O’Shea's multifaceted career encapsulates the spirit of the Miramichi music scene and illustrates his evolution as a musician. With each performance, whether in a band or solo, he continues to push boundaries, connect with audiences, and share his stories through the power of music.of music.
