Necat Memisoglu grew up in the provinces of New Brunswick and Quebec.

After doing health sciences at Dawson College (Montreal), he studied medicine at the University of Istanbul in Turkey. He then did an internship, residency training, and subspeciality at McGill University, University of Alberta, and Universite de Montreal, respectively.

He is a practicing gastroenterologist/hepatologist in Bathurst, New Brunswick. He also spends part of the year in Istanbul, Turkey, where he is involved in teaching. 

His first album “Lost In The Music” was released in 2014 and distributed by Sony. It consisted of 11 original songs and a video "flightman".

“Black Dot White Cube”, the second album by Necat, is a collection of 12 original songs. The style is alternative rock with overtones of punk, traditional rock, country and includes 2 love ballads. The  lyrics cover a wide range of topics from love to heartbreak, loneliness and social issues. "Kicking dirt" is the video from this album.
