Sam Hudson is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer, songwriter, mental health advocate and music teacher based in Moncton, NB.  Sam's music draws from spiritual experience, his struggles with mental health and the stigma surrounding mental illness.   Sam's lyrics are raw, whimsical and emotional while his music expresses many dynamic swells, twists and turns (much like his mind).

Through high school and university Sam formed numerous bands both as a front man and back up guitarist.  After an intense spiritual awakening, existential crisis and period of isolation Sam re-emerged into the world with a renewed sense of purpose: To share his story and connect with others through music.

Sam has a wide range of influences which include The Beatles, Umphrey's Mcgee, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mike Posner, Death Cab for Cutie and Barenaked Ladies.  He is the recipient of numerous funding opportunities including Music NB's Marketing, Emerging Artist and Sound Recording grants.  Sam plans to use Music NB's Sound Recording grant to fund an EP which will be released in June 2023.  A summer tour of the maritimes in support of the EP will follow.

Sam looks forward to meeting more people and making more music in his never-ending search for truth, connection and novel experience.

Onward!
