Christmas CD Release
New Brunswick’s R.A. Lautenschlager, who Duane Lowe (Global Noon) called one of Canada’s most prolific songwriters, will be releasing his seventh full-length CD Home for Christmas (8 new Canadian Christmas songs) at Bridge Street Café, in Sackville, NB on Thursday December 10th. The release party will start shortly after 8pm, and R.A. will be joined by a number of his musical friends for a magical musical night of Christmas music and more.
When reviewing this disk, the CBC’s Bob Mersereau (author of the “Top 100 Canadian Albums”) said, “Sackville’s one-man musical army, R.A. Lautenschlager, has a festive new one out Home for Christmas that I like a bunch! In the 8 tracks you’ll find topics covered such as who should be feeding and caring for the homeless, the folly of spending too much money on too much junk, and being so busy being busy that we no longer enjoy friends, family and small pleasures.”
There will be no admission charge, all are invited, and R.A. may even play something from Curling Songs (a three song EP released earlier this year) that night.
